All societies have myths and rituals. Masks have often been used to portray these. We also have invisible personal masks which are worn internally. I use the mask to symbolically depict good and evil, male and female, life and death, joy and sorrow. The mask is a visual metaphor through which I can explore my dreams, memories and personal experiences, as well as the cultural, religious and family myths we all live with.
